Los Magos Sotol Blanco with Two 6 Year Reserva 50mLs

A full 750 ml bottle of Blanco, plus two 50 ml pours of the 6 Year Reserva. Pour them side by side and you can taste exactly what six years in barrel does to the same spirit. It's a good gift for someone who already drinks the Blanco.

Sotol (pronounced "so-TOLL") is distilled from the Desert Spoon plant, not agave. It grows wild across the Chihuahuan Desert of Northern Mexico and takes roughly fifteen years to mature. Like Champagne, sotol is protected by a Denomination of Origin.

The Blanco is wild-harvested, roasted in a volcanic rock-lined pit over mesquite, oak and poplar, fermented in open air with deep well water, and triple distilled in copper stills. Bright and herbaceous, with citrus, black pepper and a warm sweet finish.

The Reserva was distilled by the late Don Celso Jacquez, double distilled in copper and rested six years in tequila barrels. Vanilla, clove and warm baking spice.
